MaldivesResearch - Message by the Board of Trustees
Welcome!
As the first think tank focussing on public policy in the Maldives, we have high hopes for what MaldivesResearch can achieve in terms of our contribution to public policy development in the Maldives. However, we recognize that we face considerable challenges, not least financially.
Firstly, keeping in view the necessity to maintain the highest possible standards in our research, we are keen to establish the widest possible network with academics, practitioners and organizations so that we may be able to join forces with eminent researchers and advocates in carrying out our work. We recognize that it is the quality of our outputs that will ensure we are a credible organization.
Secondly, we also recognize that we also need to adhere to the highest standards of administration or governance. It is with this in mind that MaldivesResearch is incorporated as a charitable company under the laws of England and Wales, to conduct our business as a charity dedicated to public policy.
We recognize that the degree to which we can succeed depends much on the cooperation and support of different actors. We therefore invite anyone who may be interested in supporting our organization and our work in anyway to contact us by sending an email to info@maldivesrearch.org.
